  • Grill or skillet
  • Medium saucepan
  • Mixing spoon

Ingredients

  • 2 packs instant ramen noodles
  • 1 lb ribeye or sirloin steak
  • 1/2 cup kimchi, chopped
  • 2 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil for cooking

Instructions

  • Season steak with salt, pepper, and a brush of soy sauce. Grill or pan-sear to medium-rare and slice thin.
  • Boil noodles according to package directions, drain, and reserve a small amount of water.
  • In a pan, sauté garlic and ginger in oil, add gochujang, soy sauce, and kimchi. Pour in heavy cream and a splash of noodle water. Simmer gently.
  • Divide noodles into bowls, pour over broth, top with beef, green onions, and sesame seeds. Serve hot.

Notes

Cook noodles separately to prevent sogginess. Adjust spice with cream or less gochujang.
