Ingredients

1 box strawberry cake mix

1 package (3 oz) strawberry gelatin

4 large eggs

1 cup vegetable oil

1/2 cup water

1 cup chopped fresh strawberries

1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

1 container (8 oz) whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed

12 whole strawberries for garnish


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. In a large bowl, combine cake mix and gelatin powder.

3. Add eggs, oil, and water, and mix until smooth.

4. Fold in chopped strawberries.

5. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

6. Allow cake to cool completely before frosting.

7. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth.

8. Add powdered sugar and mix until combined.
