Perfect for busy families, potlucks, or meal prep, it delivers bold flavor with minimal effort.

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 medium onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

15 ounces tomato sauce

1/2 cup ketchup

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 tablespoon yellow mustard

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

12 ounces egg noodles, cooked

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.

2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until soft, about 3-4 minutes.

3. Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, brown sugar, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 8-10 minutes.

4. While the sauce simmers, cook egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

5. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a 9×13-inch baking dish, mix together the noodles and meat sauce.

6. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.

7. Bake uncovered for 15-20 minutes until bubbly and cheese is melted.

8. Let it rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving, if desired.

Notes

For a lighter option, use ground turkey or chicken instead of beef.

Make ahead by assembling the casserole and refrigerating for up to 24 hours before baking.
