4 cups chicken broth
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
1 cup small pasta shells
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add sausage and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
2. In the same pot, sauté onion and garlic until soft and fragrant.
3. Add diced tomatoes with their juices and chicken broth. Bring to a gentle boil.
4. Stir in pasta shells and cook uncovered until al dente, about 8–10 minutes.
5. Reduce heat, stir in heavy cream and parmesan cheese until smooth.
6. Return sausage to the pot, simmer for 2–3 more minutes.
7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
8. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
Notes
For best texture, cook the pasta separately if planning to store leftovers.
Spicy sausage and red pepper flakes can be added for a bolder flavor.
