Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup warm water

2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast

1 teaspoon sugar

1 teaspoon salt

3 cloves roasted garlic, chopped

1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)


Instructions

1. In a large bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.

2. Stir in flour, salt, garlic, rosemary, and olive oil. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.

3. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled.

4. Grease a cast iron skillet with olive oil. Transfer dough into it and shape into a round. Let rise again for 30 minutes.

5. Sprinkle with rosemary and Parmesan. Slash the top with a sharp knife.

6. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 25–30 minutes until golden and sounds hollow when tapped.

7. Cool at least 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For best results, use fresh rosemary and roast the garlic ahead of time.

You can skip the Parmesan topping or swap it with your favorite cheese for variety.
