Ingredients
1 tablespoon sesame oil
15 frozen dumplings (pork, veggie, or chicken)
1/4 cup water or broth
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
2 green onions, sliced
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes or 1 green chili, sliced (optional)
Instructions
1. Heat sesame oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
2. Add frozen dumplings flat-side down in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes until bottoms are golden.
3. Carefully pour in water or broth. Immediately cover with lid and steam for 5-6 minutes.
4. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger.
5. Pour sauce into the pan around the dumplings. Let it simmer for 1-2 minutes.
6. Spoon sauce over dumplings.
7. Garnish with sesame seeds, green onions, cilantro, and chili. Serve hot.
Notes
For an extra crispy bottom, let the dumplings cook 30 seconds longer before steaming.
Use low-sodium soy sauce to reduce overall saltiness without losing flavor.
