Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
3 cups broccoli florets
1 small onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup honey
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/4 cup water or beef broth
3 cups cooked white rice
Instructions
1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef. Cook until browned and no longer pink. Drain excess grease.
2. Push the beef to one side and add diced onion. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until soft. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
3. Stir in broccoli florets and a splash of water. Cover and steam for 3-5 minutes until broccoli is tender-crisp.
4. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, cornstarch, and water or broth.
5. Pour the sauce into the skillet and stir to combine everything. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
6. Serve hot over cooked white rice.
Notes
You can swap ground beef with ground turkey or chicken for a leaner version.
To save time, use pre-cut broccoli florets or a steam-in-bag version.
