Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
2 tablespoons taco seasoning
8 tostada shells
1 cup shredded lettuce
1 cup diced tomatoes
1/2 cup chopped onions
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
Instructions
1. In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until fully browned, about 7-8 minutes.
2. Drain excess grease and stir in taco seasoning with a splash of water. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat.
3. While the beef cooks, prepare toppings: shred lettuce, dice tomatoes and onions, chop cilantro, and shred cheese.
4. Lay out tostada shells on serving plates.
5. Add a generous spoonful of seasoned ground beef to each tostada.
6. Layer with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheddar cheese, sour cream, and cilantro.
7. Serve immediately while shells are still crisp.
Notes
For added crunch, warm the tostada shells in the oven at 350°F for 5 minutes before assembling.
To make ahead, store the beef and toppings separately and assemble just before serving to keep the shells crisp.
