Ingredients
4–5 lbs pork shoulder
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
2 cups BBQ sauce
1 cup coleslaw (optional, for serving)
8 brioche buns
Instructions
1. Pat the pork shoulder dry and rub with brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
2. Place pork in slow cooker, pour in apple cider vinegar and 1 cup of BBQ sauce.
3. Cover and cook on low for 8–10 hours or high for 4–5 hours, until fork tender.
4. Shred the pork, removing excess fat, and return it to the slow cooker.
5. Stir in remaining BBQ sauce and heat for 10–15 minutes.
6. Serve on buns with coleslaw or your favorite sides.
