Ingredients
0.5 tablespoon sesame oil
1 pound ground chicken
2 tablespoons soy sauce
3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
1 cup carrots, julienned
4 green onions, chopped
12 romaine or butter lettuce leaves
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Instructions
1. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, breaking it apart as it cooks.
2. Add garlic and ginger; sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
3. Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and cook for another 1–2 minutes.
4. Add carrots and most of the green onions. Cook for 2–3 minutes until just tender.
5. Spoon the chicken mixture into lettuce leaves.
6. Garnish with sesame seeds and remaining green onions.
7. Serve warm. Optionally, drizzle with sriracha for heat.
